Program Overview

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is a 3-year UG Programme which is divided in to six semesters. In each semester students have to study five courses, along with a project report in the last semester. The courses cover Business Studies, Computerized Accounting, Auditing And Taxation.The programme also includes practical aspects like field visits and industrial visits.

Program Objectives

The programme aims at giving exposure and in-depth familiarity with diverse aspects of business, commerce and management. All the thirty courses intend to give an in-depth knowledge and better understanding about the current economic scenario and the business world. It enables the students to learn the basic concepts of accounting and allied aspects of accounting. It also aims at preparing the students to cope up with changing business environment.

Program Outcomes

By successfully completing the program, learners are expected to develop:

  • Abilities to prepare the final accounts and financial statement analysis.
  • Skills to independently manage the manual and computerized system of an organization.
  • Skills in auditing, which pursue advance courses such as CA, CS, CMA, CPA etc.
  • Familiarity with e-filing and income tax assessment.
