Govt. Arts and Science College, Kondotty, started in 2013 as per GO.(m.s) No.565/13/H.E.D dt:17/08/2013 is located in a remote village called Vilayil which is about 12 KMs away from Kondotty town and 15 KMs far from Calicut International Airport. Affiliated to the University of Calicut, the college offers five degree programs which include two conventional degrees and three job-oriented new generation programs .There are, at present, five major departments offering programs leading to graduation in Functional English, Mathematics, Urdu with Computer application and Multi-lingual DTP,Commerce and Tourism and Hotel Management. The Departments of English and Mathematics offer post-graduation in their respective disciplines.

The College is affiliated to the University of Calicut, Kerala. It follows the rules and regulations set by the University/Government in all matters related to admissions and conduct of the courses.Usually the University announces the admission notification in June-July every year.Since the university of calicut has centralised the under-graduate/post-graduate admissions, candidates seeking admission can apply online (www.cuonline.ac.in).

GASCK has several co-curricular and academic initiatives to enrich student lives beyond mere studies.
